AI oversight, built in.

How OHS uses AI inside clinic workflows with clear oversight, safeguards, and flexibility. AI infrastructure is changing quickly. OHS is built for that reality.

Why this page exists

The best AI platform for a clinic workflow today may not be the best platform a year from now. OHS is built so that doesn’t become the clinic’s problem.

The AI industry is still young enough that today’s leading providers may not be tomorrow’s. We use AI where it can support clinic operations, but we do not treat AI as a black box or build clinic workflows around a single provider without visibility.

OHS is designed to monitor how AI is used, preserve flexibility as models and providers evolve, and keep clinic workflows anchored in clear oversight, safeguards, and human review.

How OHS thinks about AI

Four principles that shape every AI decision we make.

A fifth principle, the one that ties them together, sits at the end of the page.

01

We use AI deliberately

OHS does not use AI everywhere just because it can. Different workflows require different levels of intelligence, review, cost, and safety control. Some tasks are well-suited to AI assistance. Others are better handled by clinic staff with the right tools and information in front of them.

Every AI-supported workflow in OHS is a deliberate design choice. Not a reflex to add AI for its own sake.

02

We monitor AI usage and performance

OHS tracks which AI systems are used, for what purpose, in which workflow, and with what result. This isn’t cosmetic. It’s how we make sure the AI doing work on a clinic’s behalf continues to do that work well, and how we catch a problem early if it doesn’t.

Monitoring also gives us the data to make honest decisions about when an AI provider, model, or approach is no longer the right fit.

03

We preserve flexibility

OHS is designed so core workflows can evolve as AI providers, costs, capabilities, and compliance options change. We are not hardwired to one vendor, one model, or one pricing structure.

The AI industry is still early. Providers will change. Pricing models will shift. New capabilities, and new compliance requirements, will appear. OHS is built so those shifts can be absorbed without disrupting the clinics using it.

04

We maintain a safety and compliance floor

Flexibility never means lowering standards. Any AI system used inside an OHS workflow must meet our privacy, security, and healthcare-workflow requirements, including alignment with PHIPA and the operational standards that protect patient information.

Choosing a different model is a quality and fit decision. The floor doesn’t move.

PRINCIPLE 05
The one that ties them together

What stays constant.

AI providers, models, pricing, and infrastructure will continue to change. OHS is designed so those changes can be managed without shifting responsibility onto the clinic. The platform remains OHS. The workflow standards remain OHS. The clinic is not being asked to bet its operations on one AI vendor, one model, or one pricing structure.

As the AI layer evolves, the core commitments stay the same: clear workflow control, appropriate human review, careful data handling, audit-friendly design, and practical visibility for clinic owners.

In practice

What this means for a clinic using OHS.

The principles above are how OHS is built internally. Here is what they actually deliver to the clinic on the other side of the platform.

You are partnering with OHS, not with an AI company.

The relationship is with us. The AI underneath the platform is our responsibility, not yours to evaluate.

The platform you signed up for is OHS.

The AI we use to deliver it is ours to manage, monitor, and change as the landscape shifts.

Privacy, security, and clinical safety standards do not change when the AI does.

The compliance floor is set in the product architecture, not decided case by case.

If a better option becomes available, your clinic benefits without changing its day-to-day workflow.

No change to your workflow. No new contract. No new login. Just better software underneath.
